Disney’s 20 Questions with Beauty & Bows (a collab post!)

Hello hello everyone, and I hope you are all having a good Monday. We may still be battling this seemingly never-ending COVID-19 fight, but it’s the start of a new week, and I hope you all have a great one. I know I don’t normally post on Monday’s but this is a special occasion!

So today is my second collab ever – whoop whoop! I had so much fun doing the first one with Victoria from The Cozy Potato (you can check the post out here), so when Emmanuella (from Beauty and Bows) and I started chatting, I figured it would be a great idea to do another one. At first, we weren’t entirely sure what sort of collab we wanted to do and ended up getting distracted talking about our shared love of Disney, and then it hit us – let’s do a Disney themed collab!!

How it worked is we each sent each other a list of Disney-related questions so it would sort of be like a fan questionnaire of all things Disney. Now being a Disney nerd, I had so much fun both coming up with questions for Emmanuella and answering her questions, so I hope you have as much reading our questions and answers as we had making and answering them. So, without further ado, here are my answers to Emmanuella’s questions.

What’s your all-time Disney related Memory?

I have a lot of amazing Disney-related memories, but I think my absolute best would be the first time I went to Disney World with my family. I was eight, and I dressed up as a princess, got to meet all of the characters, had breakfast with Mickey, Minnie and the gang, took tons of pics with my older brother and went on my first roller coaster. It is still a magical experience as an adult (I’d pick a Disney holiday over pretty much everything else) but when you’re a child, it is one step above magic – like walking straight into a Disney movie or paradise.

Who’s your favourite Disney Princess, and why?

Tough choice because there are so many I love and admire. I guess my top would be Belle because she’s a bookworm like me, values family and loyalty and she doesn’t take any of the Beast’s bad attitude and stands up to him. Sure, she does end up living happily ever after, but I loved that it took time for the love between them to develop, and she came to rescue the Beast when she could. I think I might actually go watch Beauty and the Beast right now …

If you were granted a wish to transform into a Disney character, what Disney character would you be?

Right, I’m back from watching that movie (yup – I seriously watched it and sang along to every song). This is such a hard question because there are so many!! Can I just swap between my favourites??? Okay in all seriousness, I think I’d opt to become Stitch. He’s cute, fluffy, loyal to his family, but also just so adorable in everything he does (I know he has his aggressive moments but who doesn’t?) and he’s weird. Plus it would be so cool to walk on the ceiling, have an extra pair of arms or just curl up into a ball and roll instead of walk.

Pick one: Camp Rock, High School Musical or Lemonade Mouth?

Hmm, I think I’d have to say High School musical just because I love the classic high school romance with all the stereotypes but also the challenging of stereotypes and notes to the challenges of going through high school. Plus the music is just so fun and catchy – anyone up for an HSM karaoke night?

If you had a chance, what Disney movie would you star in? Who would you play and why?

Beauty and the Beast as Belle. Why? SOOO MANY REASONS!! Firstly it’s one of my favourite Disney movies, and Belle is my favourite princess. Secondly, Belle falls in love with a prince that started as a friendship, and they had shared interest (what kind of girl wouldn’t want a love like that). She also gets to live in a magical castle with the biggest library I have ever seen. Magic, a prince, good company and books – sounds like a dream!! Yes, she still goes through challenging experiences, but it’s worth it for that library …

Favourite Disney theme song?

Well, I love loads of the theme songs because they are super catchy and fun, but I think the theme song from Phineas and Ferb is my favourite.

Which song would you listen to on repeat? Let it go from Frozen, How far I’ll go from Moana, Part of your world from Ariel or A whole new world from Aladdin?

As much as I love all those songs and would jam to them without a second of hesitation, I’d have to pick A Whole New World from Aladdin – it holds a special place in my heart and is a song I used to sing with my older brother (we did a mean duet).

Rank Disney Princesses from your favourite to your least favourite:

Okay let’s just be clear from the get-go, I love all of these princesses. The Disney princesses were such a massive part of my childhood, and they are all so different but equally amazing, so yes, I’ve ranked them, but I would also put all of them in the top three spots.

  • Belle
  • Rapunzel
  • Mulan
  • Moana
  • Anna and Elsa *
  • Tiana
  • Ariel
  • Merida
  • Sleeping Beauty/Aurora
  • Jasmine
  • Cinderella
  • Snow White
  • Pocahontas

*Technically I know that Anna and Elsa are not in the official Disney lineup because the Frozen ladies are so fantastic and successful that they are their own brand, but I love them both so much that I just had to include them.

What would your Disney themed date look like?

Oooh, this is a good one lemme think … So the start of the date would be a picnic in a picturesque forest (just like the ones where the classic princesses spend their time/meet their princes) with Disney-themed food. Maybe there could also be music, and we could dance in the forest like Aurora and Philipe (I love that scene). We would then stroll back home while enjoying the scenery and settle in for a Disney movie marathon (with cuddles, themed snacks, of course, fuzzy socks and hot chocolate) and finally a romantic candlelit dinner date with something delicious. As you can tell, I really love food, so food would be a big part of my Disney-themed dream date.

Would you rather read Disney classics or watch em?

I love reading – of course, but I would prefer to watch them because watching those classics is just such a magical experience. Also, you can’t experience those songs the same way in a book as you do watching them unfold on screen and those songs make the movies!

What Disney character makes you laugh so hard?

TOOO MANY TO COUNT!!! Olaf always makes me laugh, so does Stitch and Lilo but the most hilarious would be Timone and Pumba (and yes both of them because you can’t have one without the other).

What version of the Lion King do you prefer? Thoughts?

The original classic animated version hands down. I know that many people loved the live-action (it was a well-made movie) but it wasn’t for me. The songs didn’t have the same pizazz as the original, and as impressive as the CGI animals were, they just didn’t seem to convey the same depth of emotion that the animated ones could. I know I know it was meant to be more realistic and live animals can’t convey expressions like animated ones can, but I liked being able to see that expressive emotion on the animals’ faces in the original version.

Which Disney Princess do you wish had its own movie?

Quite a few of them already do, but I really wish Megara from Hercules had her own movie because she is so smart and sassy and independent – I’d definitely pay to watch a movie about her.

Have you ever cried during a Disney movie? If so, which one and why?

Plenty of times – Disney has a knack for tugging on heartstrings, especially if you count Pixar movies in the Disney equation. I’ve cried in Bambi, Up, Inside Out, Coco, Brother Bear, Dumbo, Finding Nemo, and plenty others but I think my most iconic Disney ‘Cry’ moment would be in the Lion King. You know the moment I’m talking about – I cry every time, and if you don’t, then you have a heart of absolute stone.

Who would be your no.1 Disney crush?

This is a tough one because there are some really dateable Disney dudes out there (too bad they’re all animated … just kidding I love my boyfriend), but my top would probably be Prince Eric or Kristoff. I just love those guys.

What’s the worst Disney moment?

I don’t know if I have a worst Disney moment … Sure there have been moments that I didn’t like or that creeped me out as a kid, but I don’t know if I have a worst moment … Actually, I do!! When they essentially cut “Be Prepared” out of the live-action Lion King, I almost walked out. That’s how upset I was by that decision.

Favourite Disney ‘It’ Girl?

Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale). I don’t know what it is about that girl, but she is just FABULOUS!!

If you were in a public place and you heard the Mickey Mouse theme song, would you or would you not sing along?

I would definitely sing along!!

And that’s the end of that. I really had so much fun answering these questions from Emmanuella and doing this collab with her (THANK YOU FOR SUCH A FUN COLLAB EXPERIENCE EMMANUELLA) so I hope you enjoyed reading my answers. Now that you’ve read my answers, I highly recommend you check out the questions I posed for her and what her responses are – you can do that by clicking here. Emmanuella also just has a fantastic blog, which you can check out too here

Did you go check out Emmanuella’s post?? Good! Being a nineteen-year-old who owns more Disney themed stuff than anything else may sound a bit embarrassing, but in all honesty, I love it. Disney was such a massive part of my childhood, and it is just so magical and happy so no matter how old I get, I’m sure I’ll always be a Disney nerd (I’m still waiting for the day someone beats me at Disney Trivial Pursuit).

Once again thank you all so much for reading this post and Tall Blonde Tales. If you enjoyed this post, please don’t forget to hit that like button, subscribe and share with your friends (ask each other these questions or come up with your own and make it a game). By the way, what are some of your answers to these questions?? If you’d like you can also pose me any more Disney-related questions. I would love to answer them in the comments section (also let me know if you’d like to see more Disney-related content). Sadly though that’s all I have for you guys today – I’ll see you on Wednesday!
