8 in 1 blogging awards post (part two)

Hey everyone! So I’m back with part two of this incredible awards post – every time I think about it I can’t stop smiling. I’m actually quite glad we have to wear masks in public right now because if people could see how much I’m grinning they’d probably think I was crazy … 

This award post honestly keeps getting bigger and bigger (I think it’s now about ten) so what I’m just going to keep doing is extending this post and grouping the awards into groups of 3 or 4 and doing bigger posts. Before I dive into the different awards though – THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!! Thank you to everyone who has been nominating me for these incredible awards (I am so ecstatic and over the moon with happiness but also so thankful and grateful) and for all of you for reading and supporting Tall Blonde Tales because, as I always say, none of this would happen without the support I get from all of you so thank you!

Right, now onto the awards for this post. Today I’m going to be doing two nominations I got for the Liebster Award and two nominations for the Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award. 

First things first, thank you so much to Aditi from What are you up to during Lockdown? for nominating me for the Liebster award. Aditi has got a fantastic lifestyle blog which you can check out here. She is a phenomenal blogging friend and is always so sweet and supportive (Aditi you’re the best times infinity) so I highly recommend you go check out her blog.

My answers to Aditi’s questions: 

Describe yourself in 5 words 

Kind, caring, loyal, optimistic, weird 

What is your favourite colour? 

Ermmm I like lots of colours (like my favourite flower is a yellow rose but yellow the colour isn’t my top) but my favourite colour would probably be turquoise (and pastel purple).

Which country would you like to work in/live in? 

The UK because I love the culture and how picturesque the countryside is (plus they all love tea so it’s my kind of place). 

Who is your biggest inspiration in life? 

My parents. They are both such amazing, inspiring people who do so much good and have really showed me what it means to be a good person with strong morals – my parents are my heroes, as cliched as it sounds but it’s the truth. 

What was/is your favourite subject in school? 

Music. There were only three of us in our class and we had so much fun learning the syllabus but we also used to make waffles and drink hot chocolate. It was my favourite part of the day.

What do you want to be when you grow up/would you like to change your career now? 

I would love to be an author (I know it’s a really unrealistic dream but I love writing and being an author would just be such an incredible career to have). 

Why did you start blogging and why on WordPress? 

I started blogging because I really wanted to get back into writing and I was about to take a gap year so I thought that starting a blog would be a great opportunity to start writing again and document my fun experiences during my gap year. I used WordPress because it was really easy to set up and manage and because I’m cursed when it comes to technology, this was a big plus for me.

What are your favourite bands/singers? 

Ummm I don’t really have favourites but a few that I like are Green Day, Queen, Tones and I, George Ezra, Shawn Mendes Abba and that’s all I can think of off the top of my head. 

Do you think that the egg came first or the hen? 

The hen because an egg wouldn’t hatch without a hen looking after it. So the hen came first and then laid the eggs, hatched them and so the cycle begins.

Which Harry Potter character do you relate to the most? 

Either Hermione or Luna. Hermione because I really get the studious, organised but still loyal personality Hermione is but also Luna because she is different and a little weird but she completely owns that and continues to be positive and friendly in spite of people making fun of her for it. 

Which Percy Jackson/The Mortal Instruments character do you relate to the most? 

I don’t know either of these (please don’t kill me) so sadly I can’t answer this question.

My answers to Amber’s questions: 

Are you a spontaneous person or a pre-planner? 

Definitely more of a pre-planner than a spontaneous person. I’m quite an anxious person so planning, organising and making lists makes me so happy (I know it’s weird but lists bring me too much happiness to give them up).

Do you suffer in silence or do you talk about how you’re hurting? 

Depends on who I’m with. More often than not I suffer in silence but with my boyfriend or my best friend I try to talk about how I’m hurting because it does make me feel better in the end (even if it takes a lot of gearing up to actually talk about it). 

You have a free plane ticket to go ANYWHERE in the world, where do you go? 

DISNEY WORLD!!! It’s my dream location because it’s so fun and magical (so long as I can visit the other theme parks too – and considering they’re all in Orlando I’d say it still counts right?).

Do you like cozy nights in or late night adventures? 

Cozy nights in hands down. There is nothing better than curling up in a fluffy blanket (with either my cat or my boyfriend) and enjoying a hot cup of tea with either a movie or a book. 

Sunsets or sunrises, why? 

Hmmm sunsets because they are such a peaceful end to the day. The best part of my day whenever I’m at the beach is getting to watch the sun set over the ocean – it’s just so beautiful and tranquil.

What type of student are you: Harry, Ron or Hermione? 

Hermione. No doubt about it – ask anyone who knows me or went to school with me. #

Your pet peeve? 

Hmm I’m not sure. There are quite a few things that annoy me but I’d say my biggest pet peeve would be slow walkers or people who just randomly stop or take up the entire walking space. It drives me absolutely nuts! 

Favourite deathly hallow? 

The cloak of invisibility 

Your favourite disney musician? 

Phil Collins – that man is an artistic genius and I adore all of his Disney songs!

A language you wish to learn? 

Either French or Mandarin. I took french in high school and I’m brushing up on it now because I think it’s such a beautiful and useful language but Mandarin would also be really interesting to learn.

If you could hang out with any cartoon character, who would you choose and why? 

This is such a hard one for me because I love cartoons!! I suppose I’d have to say Stitch because he is one of my favourites and he is just so cute and fluffy – plus I relate to Stitch on a personal level I just love that little blue alien. 

What’s your current favourite song? 

I don’t really have favourite songs as such but the songs I’ve been listening to on repeat are Be Prepared from the Lion King and The Kids are Coming by Tones and I. 

Beach, Safari or Forest vacation? 

Oooh that’s a tough one … I’d have to say beach though because I live really close to quite a few game reserves so we get to do safari vacations quite often whereas not so much the beach. Plus I love the ocean and there isn’t a better place to read a book than on a tropical beach.

If you could eat only one item for the rest of your life, what would it be? 

Chocolate chip cookies. Yes, I know it’s a dessert but they are delicious and I could genuinely eat them forever and never get tired of them whereas most other dishes I could get tired of quite quickly if it’s all I eat. 

If you could choose an age to remain forever, which age would you choose? 

This is such an interesting question … I’m not really sure but I think a fun age to stay at would be about 9/10 years old because you can do things but also you’re still in the fun, imaginative stage of childhood and you haven’t quite reached the stressful stages of life yet. At that age everything is still stress-free fun and games which I think would be great.

Girl it is confirmed: we are spiritual sisters. Your answers are just exactly what I would put. I’m an anxious person too so lists make me so happy! Literally I wake up every day and write what I need to do otherwise it bumps around n my brain all day and STRESSES ME OUT 😩 Cozy nights in are hands down the best thing ever. Disney World for sure, and yes Orlando 😯 Sunsets are gorgeous because even if you’ve had a rubbish day you know that it’s the end of that day and you can have fresh start tomorrow? Maybe just me 😂 Honestly I love reading awards when it’s answers to my questions, and thanks so much for the nomination!! 🙂

    I love Queen 😍 I always knew I liked a few of their songs but didn’t really realize how much until I saw the recent movie 😅 and I’d love to go to Disneyworld. I’d hate the crowds so if it was deserted I guess but still. I so want to see the Harry Potter world there.
    Slow walkers drive me mad too. Especially when they stop in doorways. Just why do it?
    I’m also super jealous that you get to go on Safari vacations a lot!! I love animals and would love to see them like that. Do you have any favourites that you’ve seen?

    1. Of course it’s no problem I know things get busy!! Oooh you play sax too?? Haha thanks I hope it works out🙈 ohh yeah no that movie was amazing😍The Harry Potter world is truly amazing but yeah the crowds can be a bit much. I know right?? Haha yeah it’s a big benefit of living here I think my best are seeing baby elephants, and we also saw a wild dog pack recently which was incredible!!

      1. Thank you. I used to, I doubt I could remember much about it now but I guess if I tried again it might come back to me.
        I thought it was wonderful too!! That and Rocketman, I adored them both. Yeah I can imagine it’s hectic but it must be an incredible place to see.
        Omg that’s amazing. I’ve only ever seen an elephant once in real life and never a baby one 😍 it must be incredible to see animals like that.

      2. Of course I understand! Oooh yeah both were great films! It really is amazing plus what I love is it’s an opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat and not in captivity like in a zoo so it’s even more wonderful to see. I wish there were more like these all over the world 🙈

      3. Yes it must be lovely. I always like seeing them in their natural habits in David Attenborough’s shows but seeing them like that in person must be incredible. It would be nice if there were, I guess part of it is space though. Plus it would be the wrong habitat for some of the animals. It would be incredible if there were more though.

      4. It is amazing and oooh I love his shows have you seen his latest documentary on Netflix?? Exactly I would love to see more parks like that set up around the world where animals can be seen in their natural habitat rather than zoos in protected spaces

      7. I’ll check it out soon hopefully. I know that his programmes can be pretty hard hitting. Ooh I also love that they often include behind the scenes information at the end, showing how much work goes into getting their footage of certain animals.

      8. Yeah this one was especially tough but it was so good! Yeah no that is always amazing plus I love all of his programmes because he helps make people aware of how amazing animals are and that we need to take care of the natural world.
