Helloooo all!! I hope you’re all keeping well and managing with the new normal that the whole world is starting to adjust to. SO, this is part two of my 10 in 1 blogging awards post (with one more part to follow). Before I get started, I want to express an enormous thank you once again to all the incredible people who have nominated me for these awards, and another thank you to each and every one of you who reads Tall Blonde Tales and has helped me grow it to where it is today!! Today I’ll be answering the questions to my nominations for the Liebster Award, Very Inspiring Blogger Award and the Sunshine Blogger Award (thanks again for the nominations – it means so so so much to me!). Now, without further ado, let me get on to answering these questions.

The Liebster Award
First things first, a huge thank you goes to Meekly Insane from The Sycamore Quill for nominating me for the Liebster award. For those who don’t already follow their blog, I highly recommend you do because the writing is phenomenal!!

Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide the link to their blog
- Answer the 11 questions given to you
- Nominate 11 other bloggers
- Ask your nominees 11 questions
- Notify your nominees once you’ve uploaded your post
Questions from Meekly Insane
Your favourite author?
Tough question because I’m a big reader and love so many authors for many different reasons but I think I’d say that Lisa Brown Roberts and Jenn Bennett are my favourite authors at the moment (sorry I can’t just pick one).
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Wow that’s far in the future … In ten years I’d hopefully have finished my masters and be pursuing a career I enjoy, maybe even published a novel and perhaps be married with my own house and a puppy.
What is the one commodity you wish for the most?
Hmm I’m not sure – maybe cocoa so I could make endless supplies of chocolate?
Your go-to person?
My boyfriend – he’s my best friend and no matter what’s going on he always knows how to react, especially when I’m sad or stressed and need some cheering up.
The most played song in your current playlist?
Lost on you by LP
Funny story – my boyfriend played this song for me and I really loved it but then we both forgot about it and for the life of me I couldn’t remember what it was called (I said it was the song with the whistle in it) and somehow, he figured out what song it was and now I’ve been playing it non-stop.
One thing you despise the most?
Ummm … there are quite a few things I don’t like (chickens, papercuts, spiders) but I think the one thing I despise the most is when I’m talking and people ignore me or in social situations when people act as if I’m not even there.
Your favourite book?
Another tough one (I CANNOT PICK FAVOURITES WHEN IT COMES TO THINGS LIKE THIS) so I’ll just go with a book that I really really love at the moment. My favourite book at the moment is The Bookworm Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts.
What do you prefer, winter or summers?
They’re different and I like both for different reasons but I suppose I’ll pick winter because when it’s cold or snowing outside (not that it snows here) you can curl up inside in your blanket with fluffy socks and read a book or watch a movie and eat snacks/drink tea and hot chocolate all day. Plus you’re allowed to stay in your sweat pants and pyjamas so yayyy!
A fictional character you love and why?
Stitch – he is so cute and fluffy but also goes through all the motions of sadness, anger and no matter what he’s doing or how he feels he still manages to look adorable. Not to mention he can climb on the ceiling and curl up into a ball and roll – I mean how cool is that?
Your most prized possession?
My childhood teddy bear
Three different fictional characters you’d choose to go on a trip with?
Legolas the Elf from Lord of the Rings, Cath from Fangirl (the book by Rainbow Rowell) and Olaf from Frozen.
I had so much fun answering these questions – they definitely made me think and being a bit of a bookworm I adored some of these questions. Thank you so much once again Meekly Insane for the nomination xxx
The Very Inspiring Blogger Award
For this next award, I want to say another huge thank you to Anjali from Chasing the Maximum Life. I can’t even begin to go into everything she has done to help and support me with this blog – she is an amazing writer with a fantastic lifestyle blog, but more than that she is an unbelievable friend who is always there with kind words, love and support so please go give her blog some love (check it out here). Anjali – thank you so much you are amazing!

Rules:
- Thank the person who has nominated you and provide a link back to his/her blog
- Answer their questions
- Nominate up to 9 other bloggers and ask them 5 new questions
- Notify the nominees through their blog by visiting and commenting on their blog
- List the rules and display the logo
Questions from Anjali:
What song do you currently have on repeat?
Cheap thrills but the version that the Barden Bellas do in Pitch Perfect 3 (the acapella is just so fantastic it gives me chills every time)
Wealth or health?
Definitely health. What good is money if you have poor health or struggle with illnesses etc? Health is definitely more important to me because you can live a happier, more fulfilled life when you’ve got great health even if you don’t have lots of money.
What is your favourite writing genre?
YA romance or romantic fiction – nothing makes me happier than some cheesy romance and a happy ending.
What is your greatest life lesson so far?
Stop waiting around for things to get better – if you want to make a change or do something in your life then you have to have the strength and dedication to get up and do it. No one is going to hand it to you and no one is going to do it for you.
If you could go back in time, what movie mistake would you fix?
The making of the live action lion king. Some of the new live-action remakes may be alright but if people want to reboot classics then do what happened with Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent – do the story from a different angle. Don’t remake what was a fantastic movie and risk it falling flat (I really did not like the live action lion king … ‘Be Prepared’, my favourite disney song ever, was ruined and I can’t forgive that).
Would you rather camp or go to a five-star hotel?
As much as I love nature and being outdoors I’d have to go with the five-star hotel.
If this was a physical award with a red carpet, what would you wear?
Oooh well I’d definitely wear a dress (maybe something slimming from the waist up and backless with a nice flowing skirt) with ombre colours? I love how pretty the ombre looks! And I’d also wear heels since I never have a good reason to wear heels being so tall and all.
Compliment another blogger and add their link:
Emmanuella from Beautyetbows is such a terrific blogging friend. She is so sweet and fun to talk to, she loves Disney and what’s more is she has a phenomenal blog and great writing style! Check out her blog here.
What makes a good blog?
I think a good blog has to come from the right place. It should be something you want to do, and you should either be passionate about it or find it fun because if it’s forced then it comes through in the blog posts. I think what also makes a good blog is people enjoying what they are talking about because when you talk about somthing you like or something you’re passionate about that brings you joy, that positive energy comes through in your posts and readers can feel that – if you make your readers smile then you’ve got a good blog.
Who influences your life the most (past or present) and why?
Probably my dad. He’s always been my support and taught me so many life lessons – I’ve even nicknamed him Jiminy Cricket because after all the years of love and strong guidance to push myself and do the right thing, I can almost hear his voice in my head even when he’s not around (usually telling me to go to the gym). My dad is my hero and I definitely wouldn’t be the person I am today without him.
What has been one of the hardest habits to start or stop?
I think one of the hardest habits for me to start was getting into a proper exercise schedule (I still find it so hard) because I really don’t find exercise fun even though I know it’s good for me.
Thanks again Anjali for nominating me for another award. You are an amazing blogging friend and I greatly appreciate all the love and support you constantly send my way so thank you once again (and fantastic questions I always enjoy answering them).
The Sunshine Blogger Award
And the last award for today is the Sunshine Blogger award. I want to say a huge thank you to Sofia from Live Sofiabulous for nominating me for this award. She has a truly fantastic lifestyle blog but is also such a sweet person so please go check out her blog here.

Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you in the blog post and link back to their blog
- Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post
Questions from Sofia:
Give us a little insight into your blog?
Tall Blonde Tales is my little part of the internet where I share advice, tips and tricks and also just fun stories from my experiences. I’d always wanted to start a blog and I love it so much because it allows me to challenge myself, push myself to write (which I’ve always wanted to do) and make fantastic friends in the blogosphere. It’s sort of a lifestyle/travel hybrid of a blog and I’m busy planning a bit of a rebrand for when I start university (which is only in a month!!).
Why did you start blogging and for how long now?
I started blogging because I missed writing creatively and was about to start a gap year so I thought it was the perfect opportunity – I had the time to get it off the ground and to write, plus a year full of fun experiences in the wings to keep my content flowing and it all just worked out. I’ve now been blogging for over a year and a half.
What has been the most challenging aspect of blogging for you?
I think the hardest aspects of blogging is sometimes finding the inspiration for posts as I don’t like to force posts because I want them to be authentic and fun. I also sometimes find growing my blog and fitting in all the necessary parts to blogging a challenge to fit in my schedule but what’s life without a challenge hey?
How do you motivate yourself when you feel discouraged?
I take a step back and remind myself why I’m doing what I’m doing. When you zoom out and think about the bigger picture you often remind yourself why you started something and thinking like that, putting things in perspective again, helps me remotivate myself. I also try to take a break and do something I enjoy because that gives me a new spark of energy and I stop feeling so discouraged and am ready to get back to the task I was working on.
What do you enjoy the most about blogging?
I love blogging about a lot of things but I think I mostly enjoy telling stories of personal experiences that link up to advice about relevant real-life situations. For instance, my post about true vs fake friends was a fantastic blog to write and so was my one about what’s under the filter because they are personal but also helpful and full of advice that I hope others can use.
If you could make one wish, what would it be?
Put a protective spell on wildlife so that human harm doesn’t continue to destroy their habitats and lead to their extinction. The animals on our planet are so magnificent I couldn’t imagine a future in which all of them are gone because we as humans have been so selfish and short-sighted that we killed them all off without thinking about the destruction we were causing.
What makes you the happiest and why?
Hmmm. Chocolate makes me really happy. But I think my boyfriend makes the happiest because no matter what we always have such fun together and he always brings a smile on my face – he’s also the first person I want to tell things to or try things with so yeah my boyfriend makes the happiest.
What do you prefer, calling or texting?
Texting I think because it’s so convenient and quick and now with the help of emojis there is less chance of miscommunication with tone etc.
Are you a talker or a listener?
Definitely more of a listener, but with the right topic I can talk for hours and hours haha.
Your hobbies?
I love reading, writing (both creative writing like novels/poetry and blogging), playing my saxophone, cooking and baking, jamming to music (I have some great solo karaoke parties), building puzzles and watching movies (I love disney/Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings etc).
What appeals to you most – the soul or appearance of a person?
Definitely the soul. Looks can change over time, but someone’s personality (their values, morals, how they behave in situations) won’t change as much. Plus, after a while looks aren’t that important because what’s on the inside becomes the focus so if someone is really good looking but not a nice person that’s far worse than being a good person but maybe not looking like a model.
Thank you so much once again Sofia for nominating me for this beautiful award. It means so much to me and I really appreciate it – I also had lots of fun answering your questions.

There are also so many more fantastic blogs out there that I may not have nominated specifically, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t deserving of these awards and recognition for your amazing work. So, if you feel that one of these awards speaks to you or that they are something you really want to take part in, I NOMINATE YOU!!
I pass on the same questions that were posed to me by Anjali from Chasing the Maximum Life. Also please remember there is no pressure to anyone I’ve nominated to accept but if you do I’m looking forward to reading your answers xx
And we made it to the end of part two!! Wow I know I constantly say it but I’m constantly overwhelmed with gratitude – I want to thank all the phenomenal bloggers who have been nominating me for these awards (the feeling never gets old and it’s like Christmas, a birthday and an explosion of sparkles all at once), and every single one of you who reads and supports Tall Blonde Tales. When I’m lacking the motivation to write, it’s you that always keeps me going so thank you for that!
We’ve finally come to the end of this post – I’ll hopefully be back with part three and some more tags without too much delay. I’m also finishing plans up for the rebranding so I’m hoping to start activating those changes in the next two/three weeks. Apart from that, I’ll see you all soon!
Lots of Love

You play the saxophone? That’s so interesting and different! I’d love to hear you play.
I totally agree about finding it difficult to find inspiration for posts. I’ll be on a roll and then I’ll just not be able to find inspiration for that next post. Definitely the hardest part of blogging especially since it’s imperative to have a posting schedule to stay relevant.

WHY DO PAPERCUTS HURT SO MUCH?( sorry for the extreme use of capital letters😂). Like fresh paper out of the printer is the worse when it’s only Paper!! Gosh, I’ll never understand why 🤷♀️

Congratulations on the awards (: and that’s awesome that you play the saxophone. I did notice that you asked if I did too before but I wasn’t sure if I was misreading it somehow. I also agree with you on having being ignored, it’s a horrible feeling and really hard to overlook. It makes you feel wretched.
I haven’t read anything by Jenn Bennet yet but I do own one of her books so hopefully I’ll get it read soon. And I actually enjoyed The Lion King but I don’t really remember the animated version for comparison tbh.
LikeLiked by 3 people
Aww thank you so much!! Haha no worries and yeah being ignored is the absolute worst … Oooh yeah she is fantastic I think I would compare her to Holly Bourne but she is more classic YA with happy endings even though her books are really interesting and beautifully written. Holly Bourne can be a lot more eye-opening and real but also amazing so if you get the chance definitely read Jenn Bennett. Ahhh okay I’m just bitter because the animated one is such a big part of me and comparing the two was a bit disappointing for me

I definitely plan to. I think the book that I have of hers is literally her only non contemporary novel but I’m hoping that I’ll get the chance to get some of those ones out of the library later this year too.
I understand that, it’s hard seeing people rework movies that you love.
