Wow! I honestly can’t express how amazing it feels to be nominated for this blogging award. I’m actually having a little celebration dance at my desk – I think my cat is judging me though … he’s giving me weird looks …
Anywho, before I even get into the award, I wanted to say a huge thank you to Anjali from Chasing the Maximum Life. Honestly, I am so grateful that we ever met through the blogosphere and even more thankful that you nominated me for this award so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Be sure to check out her blog!! It is a really fantastic lifestyle blog, and she’s also just a phenomenal person, so be sure to check out her content here:
Another very special thank you has to go out to the creator of this award. Thank you so much Okoto Enigma for creating this award and creating this fantastic opportunity for so many bloggers to have their work recognized and for them to connect and make more friends!! Be sure to check out her blog too: https://www.okotoenigmasblog.com/
Now, as with all awards, there are a few rules that I just want to list and recognize
1. Put the award logo on your blog
2. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
3. Mention the creator of the award
4. Answer the questions you were asked
5. Tell the readers three things about you
6. Nominate 10-20 bloggers
7. Notify the bloggers (tell them you nominated them) by commenting on one of their posts
8. Ask your nominees five questions with one weird or funny one
9. Share a link to your best posts
Three things about me:
- I’m terrified of chickens
- I’ve been able to make so many friends and meet some fantastic people in the last few months, and that wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t started my blog (thanks everyone!!)
- I’m over six feet tall and am afraid of heights (yes, I’m aware of the irony)
My best posts:
In all honesty, I love all of my posts, and I don’t really know which are my best ones, but I’ll put here some of my favourites:
- How to have the ultimate girl’s night
- Some people are worth melting for – true vs fake friendships
- The ultimate Harry Potter bucket list, Part one and Part two
- IT’S OKAY TO FEEL!!
Answers to Chasing the Maximum Life’s Blog’s questions:
What inspires you to keep blogging?
Honestly, it’s a mix of a few things. The fact that I get to be creative and write and share my stories/thoughts with all of you is one part. Also knowing that there are people out there who enjoy what I write, and reflecting back that I’m trying to create a fun, positive and helpful space for others really keeps me going. However, in the last few months, getting to chat and network with other bloggers has really inspired me to keep blogging because, without it, I wouldn’t have all these fantastic people in my life.
What is your favourite food?
Can I just say all food? Because food is just so good! But I suppose if I had to pick a favourite … I’d say either Chinese takeaways (I’m addicted – it’s a serious problem) or chocolate chip cookies. You can never get sick of choc chip cookies, and they go with everything!
What do you like more; camping or binge-watching shows at home?
Is this a trick question? Jokes aside, camping has never really been my thing even though I’ve done it a few times so I’d definitely say binge-watching shows at home. That option comes with endless supplies of tea, fluffy blankets and minimal movement, so it’s a no brainer for me really.
What advice would you like to give to fellow bloggers?
I’d say to believe in yourself and your blog, and don’t be afraid to try new things and reach out to other bloggers. It took me a long time to start networking because I was incredibly nervous and thought no one would want to interact with an amateur blogger like me but honestly chatting and networking with other bloggers has made the blogging experience a 100 times better. So, don’t be scared to network! Other bloggers can help you out/give you advice, or you may just find some really amazing people and friends – only positives can come from it, so just go for it!
If you were to choose between never being able to see water and never being able to see fire, what would you choose? And why?
Hmmm … I’d have to say I’d rather give up seeing fire over water. Water is just so peaceful and soothing to me. I absolutely love swimming, hot baths, the ocean, aquatic life, and so many other watery aspects of life that I don’t think I could give up being able to see it.
Nabeela – Stay at home mom
Evin – Thoughts and dashes
Kae – Hello City Girl
Emmanuella – Beauty and Bows
Arushi – Musings of a whimsical soul
And you!!! If you’re reading this post and want to participate, then consider yourself nominated! If you wish, claim this blogging award because you really deserve it for all the hard work you put into your fabulous blogs. If you don’t want to participate though that’s totally okay, there is no pressure.
Questions to my nominees:
1. Why did you start your blog?
2. What’s your favourite cookie, and why?
3. Which would you prefer: a holiday in the frosty cold or somewhere hot and tropical like the beach?
4. What is the most valuable blogging lesson you’ve learnt?
5. If you could transform into an animal (any animal – real or fantasy), what would it be and why?
Again, thank you so much to Chasing the Maximum Life for nominating me for this award (please go follow her blog she is truly amazing). Also, thank you to all of you for reading and continuously supporting Tall Blonde Tales! You are all so amazing, and this blog wouldn’t be anything without you, so give yourself a clap (have a piece of chocolate)!
I’ll see you all soon, and if anyone wants to submit a guest post or do a collab with me, please don’t hesitate to reach out I’d love to chat about it. Also, if you don’t want to participate, I’d still love to hear your answers to the above questions, so don’t be shy and let me know in the comments section.
