I’ve never been big on celebrating Halloween, but this year (of all years … yes I’m aware of the irony) I’ve decided to put a bit more effort in it and let me say, just because all the typical ways to enjoy this spooky night of ghouls and goodies aren’t available, that certainly doesn’t mean you can’t still have a fun night. So, today I’m going to be sharing a few ideas for last-minute Halloween celebrations – read on if you dare mwahahahaha!
The prospect of university brings so much to get excited about, but no matter how enthusiastic you are about becoming an independent adult and heading off to uni, sometimes you can’t help but miss home just a little. Leaving home and moving away for university is a huge transition no matter where you’re coming from, some who might live around the corner and others who are an eleven-hour plane ride from everything they know. The key to remember though is if you’re suffering from homesickness, I can guarantee you’re not the only one. Today I’m going to go through my top tips that I learnt from last year and have gathered from my uni friends for getting over homesickness so that all you need to worry about is making the absolute most out of your uni years.

I’m officially at university now and have just finished my Freshers/Induction week! WOOOHOOO!! My tertiary education is officially on its way, and soon I will embark on what I’ve been told will be the busiest 3-4 years of my entire life. I’m still not sure whether that should make me anxious or excited. Perhaps both? Hey everyone! So I’m starting university next week Monday and moving-in-day is looming and let’s just say I’m more than a little nervous about it all. I don’t think the transition course I did about prepping us for uni life helped. And so that brings me perfectly into my post topic for today – nerves about new beginnings, and how to deal with nerves.
Just a little life update on my build up to starting university. From intimidating whatsapp groups to college webinars, I may have been stressing my socks off about certain things but it has been balanced out by so many positives. I honestly can’t wait to start university 🙂
After a year and a half of travel and short courses, the gap year is finally coming to a close as just last week, I made a very important decision. That’s right – I’m going to university! September in the UK, here I come 🙂
