University Advice – Taking a Gap Year before starting university

This year, not only am I working as an ambassador for my university, but I also signed up to be a college parent, which means helping to mentor a few first years in the same college I’m in. One of the questions I’ve gotten a lot of over the last few months is around gap years and honestly I can understand why. These are not normal times, and for many the idea of starting university during a pandemic isn’t awesome, so a lot of people are considering gap years.
