Fun Things to do in New York City!

New York City is just as much the hustling and bustling city it looks like in all the movies you see it in. Everyone is always moving, there is traffic and honking, and the crowds never seem to die down in certain places. That being said, my time in New York City has been so much fun so far. Even though the city can be something to get used to (for tips about managing NYC for the first time, read my last blog post “Beginner’s Guide to New York City”), there are so many great activities to do no matter where you look and experiences just waiting to be had. Today, in honour of all the great fun you can have while in New York City, and if you’re looking for inspiration to fill your itinerary if NYC is on your list of locations, here are a few fun things you can do while in the city. Most of them I have been able to do this trip but some I have done on others, and while some might seem more iconic or unusually simple, I promise that all of them have come together to form the great experiences and memories I have of New York City. With a few adjustments to how you spend your time, you’ll be tackling the city like a local with no fear and all the confidence in the world. Fun Things to do in Johannesburg

I’ve been lucky enough to do a lot of travelling, and I tend to chat a lot about the great places that I visit. What I often forget about, especially when I see how often I talk about overseas locations, is that there are tons of great things about the city I call home. In Johannesburg, there are great things to do and Johannesburg is a beautiful city because it happens to be a lovely mix of city and suburbia all decorated with green trees and jacaranda blossoms everywhere. I think it is just that when you live somewhere, you often forget about all the great things that are right in front of you because you take them for granted that they will always be there. Well, I’ve spent a lot of time away from home this year, and I think that distance has helped remind me that while the places I have been are great, there is still a lot of greatness in my own city that I forget about. So today, in honour of Joburg, I’d like to share with you all ten fun things to do in Joburg. Whether you are a tourist looking for things to do or a resident who has forgotten some of the great spots right around the corner, here is a little demo of some of the great things one can do in Johannesburg. I hope you enjoy it!

So, I have spent much of this year studying in different locations, but now it is time to kick back and exchange my jeans for a bikini and my sneakers for flip flops because I am on vacation! I’m currently travelling in Croatia with my boyfriend and family and let me tell you, pictures cannot capture how beautiful it is. I’ve been to Croatia once before, but don’t remember much as I was a lot younger. How to Pack like a Pro

Oh, packing. The activity we all have to do whenever any sort of travel is on the horizon, yet somehow it causes a lot of stress and problems. A lot of people I know don’t enjoy packing because they are worried they will forget things, it stresses them out, or they don’t pack the right things and end up not enjoying their trip. Well, today I would like to put a stop to all bad packing experiences. Packing doesn’t have to be a headache so long as you approach it and do it the right way (as with most things I know, but this is an easy one I promise). Well, once I started using these tips, I haven’t found packing stressful at all and in fact, find it quite fun. So, if you aren’t a fan of packing or would simply like to get some tips, here are some suggestions for how to pack like a pro.

10 Tips for Visa Appointments

I know that I speak a lot about travel on this blog. From travelling tips with your significant other to managing time in airports or on long haul flights, but one thing that I have forgotten to mention about travelling is the visas. The most important part of travel, and yet it somehow seems to slip my mind about its importance. Visas are crucial to travel because unless you have a very powerful passport, you most likely will need a visa to enter and spend time in another country. The only issue is that the process for getting a visa is long, intricate, usually very annoying and frustrating and can end up seeming to be more hassle than it’s worth. Getting a visa requires specific planning to ensure that you get it in time for your trip, but also to ensure that the process itself goes smoothly. I recently had to get a visa and let me tell you; I could not be more thankful that that is over! It was just so long, and frustrating and tiring, and the whole process was enough of a mission that I could only take a deep breath out when I walked out of the embassy, my visa request approved. Wheewww! However, after surviving that experience, I realised that throughout the process, there are ways to make things go a lot smoother. If you’re curious to find out what these 10 tips, keep reading!

How to Kill Time in an Airport

Travelling is a lot of fun – you get to see new and exciting places, experience different cultures and learn from the environments and people you encounter. The problem with travelling often comes in the travelling part – the getting to and from your required destination. Sometimes, the worst part of travelling is that you end up spending hours of dead time waiting around in an airport. Now, it is often recommended to arrive at the airport three hours before an international flight in case of issues checking in or long lines in the security or passport control sections. But what if you don’t end up spending too long in these lines or your flight gets delayed? Now you are stuck waiting in an airport until you can get on your way – and sometimes this waiting period can be incredibly dull and hard to pass. Don’t worry though, because as dull as sitting around in an airport can seem; there are actually lots of ways to pass the time, despite the limitations on what you have around you. Keep reading to find out these time killing methods 🙂
