The start of August also marks my 8th eco-friendly monthly challenge. I’ve really had such fun with these challenges, and I can’t wait to implement them more in my life when I move into my flat in the UK. This month, I struggled to think of an idea. I finally settled on trying to size down my carbon footprint, particularly with travel, so here it goes!

Today I’m continuing the Summer blog competition showcase because there are lots of great entries that have been sent in and I want to make sure we get through them all before the end of summer (or as close to the end of the summer as possible). This is showcase piece #3 and it is a blog post from Eva, Beyondtheblog all about indoor camping so for all those looking to tick that off their summer bucket list (you can check out mine here) but lockdown got in the way, this entry is for you! Now here is Eva’s entry – I hope you enjoy it!
Right, now today’s post is not meant to be about me jabbering about my weekend plans. It’s actually to share the second piece in the Summer Competition Showcase. This is entry #2 and it’s a creative writing piece (a short story), done by Maggie from Maggie’s Doodles. I hope you enjoy it!
Today’s post has been a while in the making, and now I finally get to share it with all of you. A while ago, Happy Panda and I started discussing some really fun collaboration ideas seeing as we are both passionate about the welfare of the planet and sustainability. One of the ideas we had was to challenge each other to make a week-long lifestyle change and we settled on tackling what we eat. Today, we’re sharing feedback on how the challenge went. I’ll be sharing how Happy Panda managed the challenge I set for her, and she’ll be sharing my thoughts on how I managed her challenge. Be sure to check out both our posts if you can xx
I know I say this every month, but it always feels so crazy to look back and see how much of the year has gone by. I think spending most of the time stuck in my room and doing everything online might be adding to that just a little bit. Anywhoooo, July has been a very eventful month, even though nothing has happened. But enough of my chatting let me get into this post!
There have been almost 20 entries (OMG I am so happy thanks again everyone who entered) so just to make sure I actually share them all with you before the end of the summer, I’m going to do two art entries in one, and then blog posts and creative writing will be individually shared. Here is the first entry for the competition and our first showcase piece: A blog post by Winteroseca!
o life, so finding ways to grow traffic towards your blog is always relevant to think about. The key though, is making sure it’s right for you. Traffic will naturally increase on its own, but that can sometimes be a slow process (really really slow sometimes). Still, there are ways for you to give it a boost on your own and that’s what I’m learning now. Just remember though that traffic also naturally increases the more time and effort you put into your blog, and please be aware that my tips are not a quick fix and they don’t work for everyone. These are just things I’ve found to help me but you know your blog best so always remember to adapt tips so that they fit you and your blog.
The deadline for submissions to my Summer Competition has come and gone – thank you to everyone for all the incredible entries! The showcase of everyone’s submissions, followed by voting, will begin next week Monday so stay tuned!
For those who remember, one of the things I had on my summer bucket list was to bake banana bread because it was one of the top things to bake during lockdown and my list felt incomplete without it (if you haven’t seen my summer bucket list post, you can check it out here). This recipe isn’t for plain banana bread though – because my family isn’t a huge fan of banana bread, I figured I needed to find a way to spice it up (pun intended) so because they all love cinnamon rolls so much, I decided it might be fun to try and combine those flavours
