Reaching 1000 followers on Tall Blonde Tales!!

There’s always something surreal about achieving a big goal you’ve set out to accomplish. On the one hand you’re absolutely elated to have finally achieved it, but there’s also that weird feeling of not quite knowing what to do next. 

Today I am beyond happy to say that I achieved the biggest goal I set out to achieve when I started this blog – reaching 1000 followers. Seriously I am so happy it’s dancing around my room, throwing confetti, wanting to eat nothing but chocolate, screaming for joy sort of happy. I was so ecstatic that I actually had honey in my tea and decided, to hell with university research and upcoming exams, I’m going to take half the day off and just relax. 

And, before I talk about anything else, I wanted to say A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!! 

This blog has been such a big highlight in my life, and yes it’s had it’s ups and downs. There have been times where I couldn’t be happier, looking at amazingly positive responses to posts I had no idea would be that popular, and viewer stats that made me feel I was on cloud 9. Yet, not everything is perfect. There have been times I felt like giving up and stopping, posts I had such huge hopes for that didn’t go so well, lows in readership and times when I just didn’t know if I could keep going. 

I never would have made it through those hard times, or even had those great times, without all of you! The readers and bloggers who have supported me from day one. You guys are everything to me and if I had to stop this blog right now, the one thing I would take away from it is what an amazing community this is, and all the incredible friends I’ve made through the blogosphere. Just this time working on these collabs has reminded me how brilliant, loving and supportive so many bloggers are. So to all the bloggers out there who read, support, comment and just give love to this blog, and all the readers who do the same, you are all absolutely amazing. I love you all and thank you!! 

Now that I’ve achieved this incredible goal though, I don’t know what’s next. My life has changed quite a bit since I first started this blog, and I’m not sure if my goals are still the same, or where I want to go next. I don’t know if my voice as a blogger is even still the same but I do know I’ve  grown a lot and learnt a lot through this journey, and I have all of you to thank! 

So, with that in mind, leaving you all with one last thank you, I wanted to ask what posts you enjoy?? What posts do you like seeing here, and what sorts of things would you like to see more of? Lastly, for all the other bloggers out there, what are your best memories of your blog, and any recent goals or huge milestones you have achieved? Let’s celebrate all the work we do together!!

  4. I’m new here, so I’m not in a place to answer the question about what kind of posts I enjoy the most. (I found you from the Disney post with Maggie, and I’m also new to Maggie’s blog but a few people I’ve followed for a while follow Maggie.) But I know one thing: to answer your question about what to do now, just keep doing what you’re doing, and doing what you enjoy.

    As for my blog, I’m taking a break for a month or two. My blog is a continuing story, and I haven’t written or posted an actual episode in a little over a month. This was planned; I take a break every six months in the fictional timeline, and real life is kind of chaotic right now, so having one fewer deadline is nice. My blog isn’t the kind that will get thousands of followers. But my character is now halfway to his university degree, so I guess that’s an accomplishment. 🙂

Hi Blondey, Wow wow wow, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you on reaching 1001 bloggers, please dont think of “quitting” I dont think in this “lock-down” situation you realise how many of us look forward to reading and hearing about what is happening out there out of our own little world and you really have had a wonderful array of subjects.

    I’m also at the same point. A bit confused, what to do next?

    Should I start writing professional blogs? Should I care about one made? How I measure my growth?

    Are we powerful enough to promote positive practices in society? Our dreams are similar. We want peace and harmony. 🙂
