An update on life … and some advice needed from YOU!

I was reading through the blog’s archives the other day, and I realised something quite startling. It has been practically a year since I started this blog. I almost couldn’t believe it. So much has happened since then, the blog has grown so much and writing these posts has become such a part of my routine that I almost can’t imagine a time when I wasn’t writing, editing or thinking about blog ideas. It’s been a roller coaster, but a ride that I’ve loved more than anything else. So, with the blog about to embark on its second year of life, I thought I’d do a little reflecting and share with all of you my adventures over the last year, as well as a little bit of my plan for this next year. But more than that, this post is about thanking all of YOU! Without all of you, this blog would be nothing and so make sure to keep reading until the end, because I have a few questions that I could really use YOUR INPUT on. I may be writing this blog as an outlet/diary for myself, but I’m also writing it to share stories and information with all of you so any help and advice you could give me this time, would be much appreciated. Now that that’s done let’s dive into my digital, metaphorical time-machine so we can see how much has happened in 365 days.

A Reflection of 2019

2019 is drawing to a close, and that means not only the end of another year but also the end of the decade. I’m not sure about you, but that makes me feel old … and I’m only nineteen. So much has happened around the world this year and it’s been a roller coaster of experiences for me, and so I thought a nice thing to do would be to take two seconds and reflect back on the year. Until now I don’t think I really gaged the real value of reflecting but now that I am older and wiser (I can practically hear my friends laughing at me as I write this), I think that reflecting back on your past experiences is not only beneficial for learning purposes but also for mental reasons. We forget how much we accomplish over a year and sometimes it feels good to acknowledge all of the fantastic things we have done and experienced. So without further ado, let’s dive back in time and take a gaze back on the whirlwind of a year that has been 2019.
