The Outstanding Blogger award and Mystery Blogger award

Hi everyone!!

How are you all doing today?? I hope you’re doing great!

So today I am feeling super bubbly and excited because I’ve been nominated for these two blogging awards. The Outstanding Blogger award by the fantastic blogger I Blog A Little Bit of Everything, who is a great friend of mine and an even more fantastic blogger. Thank you so so much for the nomination. I truly appreciate it.

I was also nominated for the Mystery Blogger award by the One who Always Talks. I only met them recently through Blogmas 2020 but they write such incredible blog posts and I’m so glad to be able to call you a new blogging friend so thank you too for the nomination it means so much to me!!

I’m in the middle of 4 different assessments for university and training for work so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to relax and answer a few questions and share some love nominating other bloggers. Also it’s an excuse to hide from my assignments for a little bit longer …

So, without further ado, let’s get into the blog post!

The Outstanding Blogger Award

Rules:

  • Provide a link back to the creator’s original post (This award was originally created by Colton Beckwith
  • Answer the questions provided
  • Create 7 unique questions
  • Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the award’s creator, nor the blogger that nominated you can be nominated

The Questions

What is a book and/or movie that changed your life?

There are quite a few books and movies that have really influenced me. David Attenborough’s new book and documentary ‘A Life on our Planet’ has had a really profound impact on me especially because I’m really passionate about wildlife conservation and being eco-friendly and those stories really got to me. Another book that really changed my life was ‘Am I normal yet?’ by Holly Bourne because it was such a captivating story and it handled such important topics about mental health and feminism.

If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?

I’m not sure … I think I’d probably be a dolphin just because dolphins are so beautiful and intelligent and they are just the sweetest and most incredible animals.

What is your favourite colour? Do you think it reflects your personality?

My favourite colour is pastel purple or yellow (I can never decide on one favourite it is the curse of my life) and I think it does reflect my personality because I am usually very bubbly, smiley and happy (like I would imagine yellow to be) but I can also be quite peaceful with a little sprinkle of weird and I think that would be the purple part.

If you could have any pet, regardless of financial things or logistics, what pet would you have? (can also be a fictional animal)

Once I would have said unicorn because they are just the greatest but I think now, I might have to say a dragon like Toothless because not only would it be a sweet and loving pet, but it could also fly. For a non-fictional pet I would say a teacup pig because I have always wanted one, they are so adorable and I don’t think I will ever have one in reality.

Would you rather only be able to write blog posts or read blog posts? Why?

Tough question but I’d have to say only be able to read blog posts because I love finding out about other people and seeing how they write (plus this way I would definitely have the time to read their posts) and also I could still do my creative writing and that way I wouldn’t miss writing blog posts too much.

What is your star sign? Do you believe in astrology?

My star sign is Libra and I do believe in astrology quite a bit. It’s sometimes terrifying to see how right my horoscope can be and how much I fit the Libra profile …

What is something you want to do more of in 2021?

I would really love to do more creative writing and actually start on some of the novel projects I have. I am really excited about them and I would love to see how they turn out but time already feels nonexistent. If I can get at least one of my projects partially underway then I suppose that will give me the hope that my (unrealistic) dream of becoming a writer isn’t pure fiction or 100% out of reach.

The Mystery Blogger Award

Rules:

  • DIsplay the award logo on your blog
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Mention Okoto Enigma, the creator of the award
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  • Answer 5 questions from the blogger who nominated you
  • Nominate 10-20 bloggers
  • Notify your nominees by leaving a comment on their blog
  • Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice, including 1 weird or funny question
  • Share the link to your best post

Three things about myself-

  1. I’m studying education at university
  2. I may have a slight obsession with Christmas
  3. Cadbury’s tumbles (chocolate covered raisins) are my kryptonite

The Questions:

What do you enjoy doing the most?

Oooh tough question but I think it would have to be reading a cheesy love story. There is nothing quite as amazing as just being able to sit in a quiet place and enjoy a sweet book that you know will have a satisfyingly happy ending. Plus if I’m reading a book then that means I’m in a cosy location with peace and quiet and don’t have too much work to do, all of which is a bonus!

If you were stranded on a desert with one book, what would it be?

This question is just cruel … If I say my kindle does that count as one book??

Kidding! But I think it would probably have to be Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I just love that book so much and I genuinely don’t think I will ever get tired of it.

What would be your go-to tip for newbie bloggers?

I’d have to say don’t be shy to reach out to other bloggers and engage with them. The best part of blogging is interacting with others and it’s something I miss so much being so busy with university. So as a new blogger, I’d definitely say take the time to reach out and chat with other bloggers. I promise they won’t bite and you will end up making such great friends and creating such a fantastic support network for yourself.

What quote describes you the best?

“I’m not crazy. My reality is just different than yours.”

Which place is your cosy place? Where you drop deep into your own world?

Anyplace where I can just sit and enjoy some peace and quiet with my boyfriend and a good book. A comfy chair, something to drink and a book in my hand is all I need for a cosy place, and if my boyfriend can sit with me then that’s a bonus, so long as he doesn’t disturb my reading. Teehee.

My Nominees

Lana Teramae

Ang from Lose Weight with Ang

Meg’s Magical Musings

Introverted Awakenings

Julia Mae from Mae Flower

I’m nominating all of you for both awards and I know that for the Mystery Blogger award you’re only meant to ask 5 new questions so you can pick which award you’d like to and if it’s the mystery blogger award then you can choose the questions. Also, if you’ve done these awards before or are award free, there is no pressure to accept this nomination and lastly, if I haven’t nominated you but you think this is something you’d like to be involved in then consider yourself nominated!!

My Questions:

  1. What do you love to do when no one else is around?
  2. If you had 3 wishes, what would you wish for and why?
  3. What’s your kryptonite? (It can be a food like mine is)
  4. If there were no limitations, what would be your dream career and why?
  5. If you became a superhero, what would your superpower be and what would your superhero identity be?
  6. When you’ve had a bad day or just need some comfort food, what is your go-to food that makes you feel better?
  7. What is your absolute favourite breakfast food? (It can be anything – no need to think about calories for this question.)

And there you have it! I wanted to thank The One Who Always Talks and I Blog a Little Bit of Everything for nominating me for these awards. I truly appreciate it and it means so much to me so thank you again!! Other than that, I hope you all have a fantastic rest of your day and I will see you on Saturday!

Lots of Love

  1. Aww! Thank you so much for that awesome introduction! I most definitely consider you a great friend too! 🥰

  2. Awww thank you so much for the nomination Tia! The quote you chose is amazing and really relatable; “I’m not crazy. My reality is just different than yours.” Everyone is different and I think it’s easy to forget that not everyone will like the same things as you. Chocolate covered raisins are delicious too! 🙂

      1. I’ve always said this, but if we were all the same, then life would be boring! I’m still debating on doing the questions because they don’t fit my area of blogging, but I’ll let you know if I decide to do them or not! I might do a ten facts about me post though and I can tag you in it? I appreciate the nomination either way and that you believe in my writing!
