Awesome Blogger Award

I’ve started spending a lot more time trying to network with other bloggers in the last week because no man, or blog is an island. There are some truly incredible blogs and bloggers out there and I’ve honestly had so much fun expanding my world and starting to chat with other bloggers. As such, I wanted to thank PoojaG from lifesfinewhine for extending the opportunity for me to participate in this award. She has a really incredibly blog that has been such an inspiration to me, and is a fantastic writer. Plus she always has such great content varying from lifestyle to mental health/inspiration to blogging advice so I highly recommend you go check out her blog, which you can do here.

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you
  • Tag the post with #awesomebloggeraward
  • Answer the questions you were asked
  • Nominate at least five bloggers and inform them of their nomination
  • Give them ten new questions to answer

Questions:

Describe yourself using one word?

Multifaceted

Would you rather die or live alone?

Probably die because as much as I love being in my own space, I don’t think I could manage being completely alone. I need to have those few close people in my life that I can chat to and spend time with when my imaginary friends aren’t being too friendly or helpful.

What is your phobia/which animal are you afraid of?

Embarrassingly, I am terrified of many things. I’m terrified of chickens (poultry in general because they are so intimidating), not a big fan of fish (they creep me out) and I’m scared of spiders because they are just CREEPY! Also I’m scared of the dark and of heights so yeah, I’m a big sissy.

Are you a loud person, soft spoken or in between type?

Honestly it depends on my mood. I’m generally quite soft spoken but when I’m with people I’m close with or feeling really passionate about something then I can be the loudest person in the room.

From which country, state and city do you come from and currently live in?

I’m actually from South Africa and am currently still living there, but I will be moving to the UK to start university in the next few months.

Which is your favourite book/movie?

This is way too hard because I honestly have way too many. Hmm but if I had to pick a favourite my favourite book would be Fan girl by Rainbow Rowell and favourite movie would be Lilo and Stitch.

What is one interesting fact about you?

I sometimes struggle between my left and my right. Generally I know which is which but if I’m not concentrating and someone catches me off guard then I panic and get confused between the two.

Which subject do/did you despise at school?

Maths and science. They made absolutely no sense to me. In maths, geometry was my worst because I could never see the shapes and angles being asked for and science was just way too complicated, boring and confusing.

Are you a mommy’s or daddy’s child?

Definitely a daddy’s girl – no questions asked.

What is your dream job/are you a nerd, jock or a geek?

I’m definitely a geek – reading books, watching movies and being a bit of a creative shut in is my thing. Given this, my dream job is actually to become an author, or a full-time blogger so I can embrace my geekiness as my career.

My nominees:

I’ve never really nominated anyone before, especially for something like this, so please don’t judge me and forgive me if you’ve already done this:

  1. Mrs ESTJ from ESTJ on the Edge
  2. Arristella
  3. Nabeela from Stay at home mom
  4. Illignis from Ignis lifestyle
  5. Dalen Flynn

However, if you’re not on this list, are reading this post and feel like this is something you want to participate in … then consider yourself nominated! I would love to see your answers and I hope that if you’re keen to take part in this that you do! Every blogger out there, no matter how many views or followers they have, is amazing because it really takes a lot to share parts of yourself online for the world to judge so even if you haven’t been mentioned by name, you are all super awesome!

New questions:

  1. What was your favourite subject in school?
  2. Favourite childhood memory?
  3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
  4. Who do you most admire and why?
  5. What’s your favourite sweet/candy?
  6. If you could have any super power, what would it be, why and what would you use it for?
  7. What is your favourite stationery item and why?
  8. Which three people (alive, dead, real or from a book/movie etc.) would you invite to your fantasy dinner party and why?
  9. What is your most-loved thing to do in your spare time?
  10. What is your favourite cookie?

I had so much fun answering and coming up with these questions, and if you enjoyed this post then please don’t forget to like, follow, share with your friends and comment! (I love chatting and I promise I don’t bite).

If you’re interested in doing a guest post, please contact me and I’d love to chat 😊

Otherwise, that’s it for today!

Lots of Love

  1. Awww, what a lovely photo of you and your boyfriend💗May I ask what your going to study in University?
I think we’re like twins bc we have too much in common;) Fangirl is such an amazing book and one that I’ve reread far too many times! Have you read Carry On by Rainbow Rowell?

    1. Aww thank you so much xxx I’m going to do a degree in Education Studies actually – are you still in high school? What are you thinking of studying?

I definitely think we’re twins 🙂 I’m so glad I found your blog and semi-stalked you haha xx Fangirl is one of my favourite books I’ve reread it so many times – I relate to Cass in so many ways and just love the style (I want to be a writer but that’s a fool’s dream). I did actually read it and thought it was pretty good! Have you read the second one – Wayward son? What I love the most is that it was magical but also so diverse and highlighted a non-straight relationship. What did you think of it?

      1. Oooh, very interesting! I’m going to be going to college next year and I thinking of studying English. Yess, it is a total fools dream and my parents are trying to persuade me away from it but, it’s something I love 💗 I’m assuming because your going to study Education, you want to be a teacher? Being a teacher and just education in general is very admiral to me😍
Fangirl is the epitome of a college book. Fangirl is what make me have high expectations for college, lol. I did read Wayward Son and I agree. The magical aspect was great and Baz and Simon are just the cutest. I preferred Carry I’m more but, I can’t wait for the third book. I’m dying of anticipation over here 😂

      2. Oh that’s fantastic!! I almost studied English haha.I know I’m so with you – I just can’t seem to let go of that dream even though it’s incredibly out-of-reach. Well yes I’d like to be a teacher, hopefully one day a headmistress but I’m still writing now just because I can’t let go of that best-selling novel hope haha. I know Fangirl has given me such high expectations I’m nervous!! I also preferred Carry as well, something about the narrative arc appealed to me more but I’m also dying for the third one hahaha. You’ll have to give me your review when it finally comes out 🙂

  2. Congratulations.
I agree with you chickens are such terrifying creatures. Whenever I tell people about my phobia of all birds or winged creatures most people don’t understand how creepy they are. . I hope that your dreams comes through and you become a full time blogger m I think you will as you have so much talent with words and creating posts x
